13. FEB 2009: Gestammelorchester (irl) + Mary and the Baby Cheeses (isr) @ TRICKSTER

Gestammelorchester only found together half a year ago in Berlin, but a few weeks later they already decided it was time for a tour. Now, after having had some live training, which saw them play with bands as Petula Clarck (playing in Belgium next week with Don Vito), they are ready to present their newest and second 7inch: quiet guitars that are sudden outburst, accompanied by spoken words that can change into fierce screams of anger, sometimes reminding of early Pavement or Nirvana. "I regard this activity not so much as a demonstration of a physical fact, but more as a way to smooth out any irregularities my speech might have", Tom quotes Alvin Lucier.  Mary and the Baby Cheeses have been with us before, and if you have missed them the first time, now it's your turn!
