3. Juli @ Madame Claude: BEN BUTLER AND MOUSEPAD (scotland/berlin) + YOU'RE ONLY MASSIVE (ireland/berlin)

I was wrong! I assumed a summer break for Madame, but she said she stays and asked me to continue to entertain her with all the good stuff I tend to bring her - ok, said I! I don't get out of this town anyway, which some people even envy me for, and there are so many bands around as well as usual, which excites me to present some of them anhow here or there (see the next gigs!); never believe the press. no - instead we go on inviting fantastic live acts to the small and cosy setting, that madame claude provides, for little money, but with big embrace.

BEN BUTLER AND MOUSEPAD is back on the track! between all his other projects with GAY AGAINST YOU, GERMLIN and his recent gig with MOMUS as JOEMUS, joe still finds the time to continue his 'solo' project, which was lately joined by bastian aka GTUK. him being on tour himself right now, joe has found another 'substitute' not to be alone on stage: dan from MAHJONGG (!!!)  will join him that one evening. BEN BUTLER AND MOUSEPAD was recently on a small tour with MAHJONGG and also did a live recording at MINT SESSION with the band, which came out as an interesting collaboration of one of the funkiest guys on keyboards and one of the best 'electronic' bands around at the moment (you will be able to listen to it soon, even if it will not end up as an album). a new GAY AGAINST YOU album will be released soon as a cd on ADAADAT RECORDS (duracell, dj scotch egg) and as vinyl on UPSET THE RHYTHM RECORDS (john maus, death sentence: panda).

the second act this night is YOU'RE ONLY MASSIVE. "You're Only Massive was founded in in the second quarter of 2007 by club magnate Maebh Cheasty. Fall 2008 saw the group welcome nightlife czar David Murphy." labelled as "two lasses from Waterford who get their freak on with hip-hop and electro" (irish times), with "an affection for beats, weirdness and, ultimately, melody."
