Lazer Crystal
Lazer Crystal create an alchemy based on the pure and raw notions of musical creativity while also continually questing to always forge ahead in the pioneering spirit of pop experimentation. The atmosphere of their live show is one for both listeners and party revelers leaving viewers sweaty and not without something to take home for further examination. It is their first time on tour through europe. LAZER CRYSTAL will be live for an interview on MotorFM on July 14th at 3 pm. Don't miss! 100,6 FM in Berlin! Live-Stream: motorfm.de

"A history of synthesis is one of wizardry. Grey-bearded weirdos with benign pro-naturalistic or bizarre pyschosexual bents. Your Moogs, your Buchlas. So how appropriate that out of the hems of these magi might be let slip, to fall to the rest of us, a Magickal LazerCrystal. Harnessing the collected tools of this 20th century sorcery, Chicago's LazerCrystal makes use of all the best ones, but playfully, like Mickey getting busy with the mop. Want to lay that Italian girl down by the fire? Pull some dusty string synth out of the hat. Want the fists in the air for a triumphant chorus? Kiss the ring of the mod wheel. Want people to get sweaty at your shows? Give your gold to a mighty barbarian drummer with oiled thighs. LazerCrystal understands all of this, but vaguely enough that it's still interesting. Programmer Mikale DeGraff plays in Mahjongg as well but lets fly with his catchy frontman stuff in this outlet. Drummer Josh Johannpeter (also Mahjongg) does an exemplary job of being a crushing MPC that sweats. Nicholas Read is the most human of the bunch, providing live-electronic-drums-through-guitar-pedals , double-manual-keyboard soaring leads and occasional Kling-Klang style vocals. LazerCrystal are sincere, accessible, historically aware, smart enough for nerds and toe-tapping enough for electroclash girls in neon Nikes. They love Giorgio Moroder, sure, but they'll also admit to loving Pretty Hate Machine, and if that isn't some transmutational alchemy then kiss me for a toad." Lazer Crystal about Lazer Crystal
"Lazer Crystal’s Lipp Service experiences a similarly awesome transmogrification, in this case from robotic amphetamine devo/chrome (minus the smack) jerky pogo boogie infected with chainsaw buzz and discolated motor bass into a total fall to your knees and worship the absolute God of fearsome headbanging in the abject throes of a deliriously sweet synthetic solo." 20jazzfunkgreats about Lipp Service
"Writing about Lazer Crystal's deconstructed electro-pop is like interpreting Rorschach cards while blindfolded. Indeed, the outfit's exhilarating jams are difficult to describe. Spazzy synth chords transmogrify and rhythmic non sequiturs stop, drop, and roll, while deadpan, Ian Curtis-esque vocals modulate over swirling beats and sick drum wizardry. It's a bedazzling mélange of meta dance freak-outs and brainy math-rock technique. With members of local faves Mahjongg, Waterbabies, and Cave, the outfit enjoys a built-in fan base, but their unique sound gets kudos all on its own merits." flavorpill

CÂLIN
CÂLIN (F/ L'AMICALE UNDERGROUND) are a two piece, originating from Grenoble. Câlin merge weird electronics with irony and fury and well played guitars. Both musicians are part of Rien. One of them moved lately to Berlin, where he sometimes is to be seen and heard as dj as part of d'or! Their EP 'Surely not harp' is out on their own label collective 'L'Amicale Underground' and can be purchased as free download. First time on tour as well!

"They are happy people and love what they are doing. They do it because they love it..." calin about calin
BEAN BUTLER (UK/ aka Ben Butler and Mousepad, Gay Against You, Joe Germlin, Joemus/ Upset the Rhythm) on the decks. He will play hundred songs in 20 minutes.
