29th jan @ madame claude residency: THE SUN AND THE WOLF (NZ) ACOUSTIC + AARON DALL (US)

The Sun And The Wolf manifested in Berlin, in the spring of 2009. Much like the morphing of a werewolf under the full moon, the band formerly known as The Have took on a different form under the "Frühlings" sun of March. Hailing from Aotearoa (NZ), the trio bring with them the experience of two back to back SXSW performances (2004/05), showcases in LA and New York, Big Day Out Festival appearances (2003/05/07), a self-titled E.P (2004) and a debut album ("Back To The Burning Wreck" - 2006) recorded and produced by acclaimed producer Barrett Jones (Pussy Galore, Nirvana, Melvins...) which was met with critical acclaim. Soon after relocating to Berlin bringing only three of five original members, The Have gave way to The Sun And The Wolf. Since making Berlin their home, the band have completed a tour of Germany with fellow New Zealanders The Datsuns, have made a feature appearance on Motor FM and have played a slew of shows around Berlin including notable venues: White Trash Fast Food, Bang Bang Club (see september show) and Magnet Club. The band are in this moment cultivating material for a debut E.P to be released later this year. after their full line up show in september, now with rare acoustic set!

Aaron Dall is another us american musician that resides in berlin and makes music with guitar, that is quite nice.
